Kånken was released in 1978 to help prevent back problems in Swedish school children and over the years has become one of Fjällräven™ most popular products. Because we believe that good habits cannot start too early, Kånken is now available in a smaller size. Kånken Mini is suitable for smaller children and even adults who want to have a small backpack. Perfect for school, outings, or as a light everyday bag, for your wallet, water bottle, piece of fruit or whatever you want to have with you. Made from light, durable Vinylon F that is water and dirt resistant. The main pocket has a generous opening that makes it easy to pack. Two flat side pockets and a front pocket with a zipper. Handles on top and narrow, supple shoulder straps. Comes with a ground pad for sitting on in the inside back pocket.

I loveeeee this! Not only is it adorable, it holds much more than it looks like it could. I bought it to take it hiking and was a little worried it was too small. However, it can easily fit a light windbreaker and a big water bottle with plenty of room for other little things. The pocket on the side is perfect for holding sunglasses. It also shipped very fast which is absolutely a plus haha

Best Little Pack

I am just in love with this little backpack! I use it as my daily purse/daybag. Was planning on it for my 'summer purse', but I am using it already in February. Can't help it. It holds 2x as much as my regular purse, but doesn't look much bigger. Its such durable material, and I cant look at it without smiling because its just so cute. The zippers are easy to open and get my wallet etc out of the bag. The front zipper is a little trickier because the pocket is small, but its not an issue. I just don't use it for my phone, but keys instead so I'm not always going into it. I got the colour Putty and it goes with everything. I am already scoping out a different colour for next years fall/winter season. Its nice that you can carry as a backpack or tuck the straps up and just use the handles. I am so happy with this bag. Great quality, great features, great brand!

I'm surprised this mini bag can fit so much! It fits my big water bottle, glasses, regular sized iPad, wallet, keys, etc. I bought one recently, and getting another one in a different color. It looks cute, but it's very durable and practical. I'm using this mainly for work, this bag distributes weight evenly, I don't get shoulder/back pain anymore.

I use this backpack constantly, both for work (yes, iPad, books, papers I mark, tonnes of pens, etc) and for the constant moving between two households.
The close fit to the body makes for the most comfortable backpack I have ever used. I am 5'4" and find the Mini doesn't overwhelm my frame.
As other reviewers mention, the pain pocket keeps things dry. The side pockets are great for either a portable coffee thermos or water bottle. Great product.

I've used this pack everyday since it arrived.
I like to tote around a good amount of stuff,
and I find it to be the perfect size. I've always got my wallet, phone, keys, reusuable bags, dog treats and bags, and the occasional knitting project. It also fits my iPad (regular size). It's light and sturdy, and the few times I've used it in the rain, the interior has remained dry. Strongly recommend this for anyone who prefers a small backpack to a purse. Hoping to add a few more colours to my collection soon!

Bought this bag for my son who wanted his very own backpack when we hike! He can fit almost everything he needs including his ipad, water bottle, and all his hiking necessities. The first time we used it the rain was coming down quite strong, but everything in the bag remained dry. If you are looking for a school bag this is way too small but this is great for kids who want a mini bag for everyday, i also use this sometimes when i need a bag and lasts forever. Did i also mention that it comes in so many colours, so many options!
